Synopsis:
Rahima is a young girl who was forced by her mother to marry an elder warlord when she was only 13 years old. His brother is then killed by her husband. In order to get revenge and find justice with her own life story she joins the Police Academy and becomes a female police officer to suport her mother and adopted children, making news life choices to reclaim her destiny...
Director’s Biography:
Mohammad Ranjbar was born in 1986 in Ghazni province of Afghanistan. He holds a BA in film directing from the Factuly of Fine Arts of Kabul University. Since 2009 he worked with different international organizations as Director, producer, cinematographer and photographer. He has made several short fiction and documentary films. His film "Hasina” was nominated in "Women’s voices now" from the "Muslim World Film Festival" in 2012. Other works "Hidden Truth" broadcasted in BBC Persian TV channel. Other credits include: "Lonely man", "I studied cinema in my taxi", "Who is really guilty?." "Taxi, Jealousy" was nominated as best film in "Tehran 100 Seconds Film Festival" in Iran 2012. "A Mothers Gift", and "Ghusle Wajbib" (ritual cleansing) are his latests work and were selected at 2nd Mehrgan Film Festival in Kabul.
