Synopsis:
Based on actual events of the Director's life Sabera Rezaie, Loneliness tells the story of a woman’s struggle to gain custody of her child while also trying to adjust and fight against Kabul's conservative society. She will fight for justice and will do anything in her power to make sure her rights are protected.
Director’s Biography:
After completing her education in Iran, like many Afghans Sabera returned to Afghanistan in search of better life. She ended up working as an actress for many short films and commercials, where she gained local fame. She got the award for best actress at the Afghanistan Human Rights Film Festival - 2nd Edition for the film "last Story" directed by Ghafar Azad. After taking workshops in filmmaking at the British Council and Tora Bora Media, she decided it was time for her to adventure, direct and write her own film. Her script for "Loneliness" as part of the film workshop won her the 1st competition award to produce and direct it.
