Sayed Jalal Rohani was born in 1989 in Kabul city. He graduated from Kabul University with a B.A in Fine Arts and Film Direction. He is an active member of the Cine-Club of French Cultural Institute (IFA) in Afghanistan. Rohani has actively participated in filmmaking workshops conducted by foreign filmmakers in Fine Arts Department of Kabul University. He also participated in filmmaking workshops sponsored by the British Council and the Goethe Institute. Besides directing feature and shorts films, Rohani has also worked as a Production Manager in the French film "Kabuliwood", and as an actor in many other films. Rohan has directed four films, two documentary, (Successful Women of Afghanistan), (Voice of Reed), and two short feature films, (Life) and (Water).
